Abstract
Nuestra propuesta de investigación abarca un conjunto de portadas del siglo XVII, que, con sus perfiles recortados, adornaron frontispicios y configuraron nuevos repertorios decorativos en Portugal. Ha- bitualmente conocidas como “fachadas-retablo”, estas portadas irán adquiriendo un gran impulso durante la centuria del Seiscientos, cuando se desarrollaron aspectos técnicos, materiales, decorativos e iconográficos.
Our proposal includes a set of 17th century portals, which, with their trimmed profles, adorn facades and confgure new decorative repertoires in Portugal. Commonly known as “facades-retable”, these portals will get major boost during the sixteenth century, when they were developed technical aspects, materials, decorative and iconographic.
