Abstract

User-Centered Design (UCD) is an Ergonomic approach for the development of human computer interfaces. The recent explosion of mobile touchscreen equipments, such as smartphones and tablets, brings very interesting opportunities but also presents some challenges in the domain of UCD. This paper discusses the different phases (users' needs identification, definition of functional requirements, prototype design and testing) of the use of a UCD approach in the development of a Business Intelligence mobile application. The prototype assessment was done based on the usability attributes (efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction).
