Abstract

This paper presents a perspective of trustworthiness-based automatic function allocation in future sensing organizations. Adaptivity of organizations in real time to safety/security threats in extremely critical events is one of the advantages of such a function allocation tool. The paper provides explanations on function allocation, as well as on trust and trustworthiness. Our view of trustworthiness-based automatic function allocation is described with some interdisciplinary related challenges. The paper ends with the case of condition-based maintenance related to railway maintenance in order to show how the proposed perspective of function allocation could be applied in future sensing organizations in the domain.
