O ICHoLS é o maior e mais importante congresso em Historiografia Linguística, que se realiza trienalmente e tem a participação das sete associações científicas da área, sediadas no Reino Unido, EUA, França, Espanha, México, Alemanha e Geórgia. Este volume reúne uma selecção de 20 dos 170 trabalhos apresentados na ICHoLS XIII, realizada na Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, em Vila Real, de 25 a 29 de Agosto de 2014.
