Abstract
Theatro Circo - Braga
Since ‘Quest’ (Shhpuma, 2014), Joana Gama and Luís Fernandes have maintained an ongoing dialogue that accepts constant ruptures and new sound explorations. Continuity exists in the harmony of their work, the meeting of languages, a communication that respects its rhythms and knows how to respond to challenges. ‘There's no knowing‘ (Holuzam, 2022) opens with Gama's piano joined by Fernandes’ electronics. The piece grows into a kind of whisper between the two and develops into a progressive game of closeness. The fifth album is a pulsating adventure and stems from the invitation to create the soundtrack for ‘Cassandra’, with artistic direction by Nuno M. Cardoso.
