The PRODNET goals and approach

Abstract

The PRODNET II initiative has designed and implemented an open infrastructure to support industrial virtual enterprises with special focus on the needs of small and medium size enterprises. The design goals, the approach, and the proposed basic architecture are described. Further, the implantation approach and social-organizational issues are discussed.
