Abstract
Partindo do estudo de um arquivo de família, o Almada e Lencastre Bastos, à guarda da Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal, o artigo apresenta novos dados sobre a instituição de hospitais de assistência a pobres e peregrinos quinhentistas, em Ponte da Barca, pela família Magalhães, senhores da mesma localidade.
