“Teaching Symbolism in ‘Little Red Riding Hood’

Abstract

In this paper I argue that understanding fairy tales entails something akin to a flip of the mind, which may yield an engrossing classroom experience as we (students and instructor) follow Little Red Riding Hood into the forest of symbols.
