Abstract
DOORS is a distributed object store to support asynchronous collaboration in distributed systems that may contain disconnected computers. This paper covers the mechanisms to support disconnected operation. The topics discussed include multiple concurrency control/reconciliation strategies, integrated awareness support, partial caching, blind operation invocation, and adaptation.
