Abstract

The aim of this work was the evaluation of the influence of sowing date and climatic conditios on the final productivity achieved and on biomass quality of sweet and fibre sorghum crops. To evaluate the productivity of the crop, at the end of the growing season, the plants were harvested and the total aerial dry weight was determined. The quality of the biomass was assessed by the determination of the organic matter, nitrogen, cellulose and sucrose contents.
