Sobre as instâncias de tradução da partícula aspetual chinesa 'guo' para o Português com base num corpus paralelo Chinês-Português

O trabalho que apresentamos tem por objetivo analisar as ocorrências de conversão da partícula aspetual chinesa guo para o português. Em chinês, a partícula aspetual guo fica depois dos verbos, expressando o acontecimento das ações no passado e indicando o aspeto experiencial. Como em português não existe tal categoria de palavra, a função desempenhada por esta partícula aspetual chinesa, aquando da tradução, é transmitida em português por via de diferentes recursos sintáticos e lexicais. Para verificar as suas tendências de conversão para o português, recorremos a um corpus paralelo constituído por textos chineses e portugueses, sendo o chinês língua-fonte e o português língua-alvo. Mediante a análise dos exemplos encontrados no corpus em relação ao uso da partícula aspetual guo, procuramos discutir as possíveis orientações de conversão desta partícula aspetual para o português e, com isso, esperamos poder ajudar os tradutores a compreenderem e a dominarem essas possíveis conversões.

The research work, which we present here, seeks to analyse the conversion tendencies of the Chinese aspectual particle guo into Portuguese. In Chinese, the aspectual particle guo appears after verbs, expressing the actions in the past and indicating the experiential aspect. As in Portuguese there is no such word category, the functions performed by this Chinese aspectual particle, during the translation, are transmitted in Portuguese through different syntactic and lexical resources. To verify the conversion trends of this aspectual particle into Portuguese, we used a parallel corpus consisting of Chinese and Portuguese texts, with Chinese being the source language and Portuguese the target language. By analysing the results found in the corpus in relation to the use of the aspectual particle guo, we sought to discuss the possible conversion orientations of this aspectual particle into Portuguese and, in this way, we hope to help translators to understand and to master these possible conversions.
