Abstract

Smart Heritage City (SHCity) is a European cooperation project which main challenge is to develop a technological solution aimed at improving the management of historic urban areas, aiding in their maintenance, conservation, energy saving, tourist use and decision making. SHCity implements a 4.0 tool in urban sets and an application focused on tourism management, which extends the work of the monitoring project SHBuildings. The technology is tested in Ávila, Spain, which is a historic World Heritage Site and whose example can be replicated to other historical sites in Europe.
