Abstract
This paper presents an innovative methodology for simulating 3D stochastic images of the acoustic impedance of oil reservoirs conditioned to both seismic amplitude data and well data. This methodology is illustrated for the Stratton siliciclastic reservoir, Texas. Results are discussed with particular regard to the performance of the algorithm and to the mapping of uncertainty.
