Abstract

As in the title of Richard Attenborough’s film (1993), the influence of philosopher Ramon Llull in the old Viceroyalty of the New Spain was very faint, but constant, as well as constant the Antilullism was. In this article it will be shed light on the different paths for Lullism to have some impact in the New Hispanic territory. It will be analysed both the possible interest on Llull (specially the educational centres) and the texts from Lullian and Antilullian authors circulating in the New Spain.
