Abstract

This paper describes a semi-quantitative risk analysis methodology and demonstrates its application on a power plant facility. Power plants are a particular type of industries, which present risks that, according to legislation, have to be assessed and controlled. The methodology discussed in this paper involves a participatory approach that helps analysts to identify hazards and assess risks present on the work situation, to evaluate the level of workers' awareness about risks and to select effective control measures, also profiting from workers' experience and ideas.
