Abstract

This article, based on the information gathered in the records of Horta Customs for the period covering the years 1800-1820, is intended to highlight the importance of exports of the “verdelho” wine produced on the island of Pico and exported by the port of Horta, mainly to the countries of Northern Europe and to the United States
