Abstract
Coupling techniques are very useful when applied to the study of complex structures, formed of several substructures. The reduction to be operated at a subsystem level is of major importance since this is one of the benefits of using coupling techniques. However, it is vital to retain a precise description of the corresponding dynamic properties. In this work various reduction techniques are used to describe the subsystem characteristics being the overall dynamic properties obtained by the use of an Impedance Coupling Technique. The practical implementation is discussed via several case studies.
