N2 - No Brazilian poet devoted as much attention to the anthology as an object and to its implications as Manuel Bandeira. Rather than discussing the anthologies that the poet organized, this essay aims to identify in the work of Bandeira the presence of an anthological impulse that continually reconfigures his work through the repetition and reorganization of its nuclear elements. Poems such as “Antologia,” “Boi morto,” or “Profundamente” are discussed in the light of this hypothesis.
