Abstract
The rehabilitation of transport infrastructure, namely of highways, is always present in the scope of a sustainable society. When dealing with the rehabilitation of highways, excavation slopes are necessarily contemplated, since they are as problematic as pavements, or even more. In this context, this paper refers to the case of ER266, which intersects the Group of the Lower Alentejo Flysch (GFBA), embracing weak rocks and the associated problems to this type of lithology; two sections of problematic excavation sites that have already undergone stabilization works are analysed.
