Abstract

This article discusses choreographic performance and composition, bringing to light specific practices of attention and how these usher in a rehearsal of deterritorialization and reterritorialization. The choreographic work of artists such as Lisa Nelson or João Fiadeiro is here framed as forms of practice that generate their own set of rules while being played, shunning competitiveness in favor of ethico-aesthetical propositions for the creation of the common. In these choreographic “games” events are understood as sites of encounter and of relations that go beyond the field of aesthetics, establishing operative modes that are in fact “machines” for sharing choreographic performance.
