Abstract

The influence of the polarization on the bioactivity of new bioresorbable scaffolds based of chitosan and biphasic calcium phosphates (mixture of hydroxyapatite and β-tricalcium phosphate) were studied. The bioactivity tests performed on this material revealed that electrical polarization has remarkable effects on its bioactivity.
