Abstract
Analyzing concrete cases of edition and translation, I draw a panorama of the reception of some Latin-American literary work in Portugal, and comment recent episodes, some of them connected with the Lisbon 2017, Ibero-American Capital of Culture. The connection between nonliterary facts of Latin America (like the Cuban Revolution and the Chile’s process with the government of Allende and the dictatorship of Pinochet) with the Portuguese polysystem is one of the most important aspects.
