Pela construção de um repositório científico (temático) geológico

We discuss the status of national and international Open Access to the scientific knowledge through the Web. Statistics are presented to demonstrate the benefits and usefulness of this new way of sharing knowledge that conduce: a) to considerable increments in citations; b) to a better formation of young researchers, and c) to a more ethical Society. Other statistics related to Portuguese periodicals are also presented, in order to conclude by the necessity of the construction of a national digital bibliographic repository of Geology.
