Abstract

This work aims to reflect about the hermeneutic on the historical narratives created about the glass necklaces of zapotec community of San Pedro Quiatoni, in the context of museology and anthropology.
Placed in the museums, stripped of context that relate him to the people who used them and the meaning they had for them, these objects have become a tool to recreate the past and rebuild the present under certain ideals. These resignifications that occur in various institutions, validated by historical discourse, is what we will try to recover. The aim is to compare these images and agencies with those created by anthropologist during the ethnographic work in the community, to emphasize its limits and possibilities in a context marked by the conflict of interpretation
