Abstract
This paper considers the use of several grossly nonlinear amplifiers for an efficient amplification of Mary-OQAM signals (Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) with FDE (Frequency Domain Equalization) and the impact of phase and gain unbalance between different amplifiers. It is shown that for some 16-QOQAM signals it is possible to employ two grossly nonlinear amplifiers to perform an amplification that is formally equivalent to a linear amplification. However, the phase and gain of these amplifiers need to be carefully selected, since we can only accept gain errors below 10% and phase errors below 0.1 rad (roughly 6 degrees).
