Abstract

This software platform was designed to be a complementary aid in the proces s of rehabilitating aphasic Portuguese speaking patient s . A variety of exercises are provided to the user, in order to train the different components of linguistic skills , such as : reading, speaking and writing . Most of the tasks are conducted in a three d imensional environment, where the user can interact with domestic objects with the aim o f promoting a treatment as natural as possible. The platform main particularities l ie in the fact that the application is hosted online , does not require an installatio n of any specific software and allows a remote monitoring by the patient’s speech therapist.
