Abstract

The text deals with two case studies, from the General Procurators, from the Province of Brazil and from the Vice-Province of Grão-Pará and Maranhão (Portuguese Assistancy), the Fathers Domingos de Sousa and Bento da Fonseca, who, through the analysis of the correspondence, allow us to know the action of these agents within the scope of the circulation of material culture in the Portuguese Assistance (Society of Jesus).
