O mito de Osíris: Análise de um mito de herói egípcio

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

This communication has as its main goal the analysis of the Osiris’ Myth following an epistemological approach centered on the hero myth. In other words, what we intend is to study the subject of the myth of the hero in Ancient Egypt, and to do so we chose a specific case, that of Osiris, one of the most important figures of the Egyptian religion and mythology. The mythical hero is the figure that assumes itself as the protagonist of myths and that seems to be present in the narratives of every civilization over time. To understand if Osiris can be considered a hero, we will confront the source with the stages established by David Leeming that characterize the journey of the hero.
