Abstract
Durante a 2ª Fase de Escavação no âmbito do Projecto de Requalificação do Campo das Cebolas, deparámo-nos com inúmeras tipologias de pavimentações de argamassa. A que mais se destacou corresponde a um pavimento de uso exterior que abrange a área ocupada pelo antigo mercado da Ribeira Velha, que ali terá permanecido em funcionamento desde o final do século XVI até ao terramoto de 1755.
During the 2nd phase of the archeological works for the requalification of Campo das Cebolas, we´ve found several typologies of mortar flooring solutions. The most outstanding was an exterior pavement running under the area occupied by the ancient Ribeira Velha Market, which existed in this area from the final 16th century until the earthquake of 1755.
