Abstract
During the archaeological excavations of 1999-2001 in Praça da Figueira (Lisbon), several contexts directly related to episodes that took place on the first Portuguese central Hospital, Hospital de Todos-Os-Santos, were recognized. In the SW Cloister yard, a circular well was identified, filled with abandonment S.U.s connected with events of middle 18th c., particularly the great fire of 1750 that, according to writen sources, afected mainly the Church and this zone. The group of corase ware liquid storage containers from that context was selected, with the aim of contributing to the knowledge on material culture of the Lisbon´s urban daily during Modern Age Period, and of its Hospital in particular.
