Abstract
From October of 2015 until July of 2016, the requalification project on the n’s 84 to 90 of Rua das Portas de Santo Antão, in Lisbon, allowed the detection and excavation of Roman funerary contexts. Those contexts enclose a remarkable contribution to our knowledge about the Roman occupation of Lisbon, especially on funerary practices. The archaeological artifacts allowed us to insert these tombs on the 3d to early 4th cs. A.D., for the most, a period of important transformations of Olisipo´s urban organization. It was in this context that a compass was found in association to Grave n.3, the authors exploring the presence of this significant object.
