Abstract

The Roman mosaics represent a cultural and artistic treasure of
undeniable importance, product of a mixing of cultures from
different parts of the Roman Empire, individualized
expression of a very particular vision of the Roman Society:
their study is a socio- cultural source of knowledge about the
Roman presence in the upmost western region of the Empire.
