Abstract
The book deals with a mythology that’s simultaneously known and unknown in Portugal, on one side popularized by the mechanisms of modern culture, on the other unknown in its ancient expression, as preserved in medieval documents that are so often distant from the wider public. A distance that the books intends to close by making known episodes, characters, theories and questions that mark Norse myths and mythology, offering narratives that are close to the original and a careful analysis for each.
