Abstract
Atmospheric pollution caused by the burn of fossil fuels, in particular carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, represents a serious problem nowadays. The search for renewable and clean energy sources and the drastic reduction of CO2 emissions are very important. Therefore, the research and development of efficient gas separation technologies is vital in order to minimize the CO2 release in post-combustion gas streams.
