Abstract
Some considerations about surgical reconstruction in areas of high functional stress are presented, including descriptions from personal experience and some data from the literature, regarding internal plantar flaps. Working mainly with oncology patients, six cases of malignant melanoma from the weight bearing heel were treated with good results.
