Abstract
This paper is composed of two main parts: the first one consisting of theoretical reflections both on the implicit knowledge we believe is contained in the making-of processes of contemporary dance performances and on the relations between concepts and their corresponding terms; the second one describing a practice-oriented case study, based on original video recordings of the creation and rehearsal process of a dance piece (SetUp) by contemporary choreographer Rui Horta. The case study is framed by the presently running research project A Transmedia Knowledge Base for contemporary dance (TKB), which is also briefly presented.
