Using the ideas proposed by Richard Viladesau of art created for the institutional and official dimension of the Church (Kultkirche) and that for the worshipping or cultic church (Amstkirche), this article discusses contemporary approaches to liturgical texts, by discussing work by James Dillon, John Tavener and the author of the present article
