Abstract

The chapters of this book have evolved from original papers presented at
an international conference organised in Lisbon, May 2013, as the closure
of an FCT-funded research project - TKB: a Transmedia Knowledge-base
for performing arts. Under the title "Multimodal Communication: Language, Performance and Digital Media" this conference has provided a multidisciplinary forum for researchers from various disciplines and artists interested in the study and documentation of performing arts.
