Abstract

Integration of resources and scheduling information in building and construction environments is essential to support and automate its management tasks. Nowadays there are not many proposals to represent catalogues of resources ready to be adopted by that industry. The ESPRIT 25559 Project, Supply Chain Management in Construction Industry - SUMMIT, developed an IAI/IFC-based integrated platform for distributed information flow. This paper presents the results of the research done to support the integration of applications in such platform, and gives a proposal to extend such platform to integrate catalogues of resources using standard ISO 13584 - PLib.
