Abstract
This chapter describes the different types of media for culture and isolation of mycobacteria, and discusses the adaptation of automated liquid culture systems for the qualitative and quantitative drug susceptibility testing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacteria.
