Abstract

It is intended to give an overall overview on the Portuguese warfare, relating political and military events with the changes in theory, organization, weapons and tactics. A particular emphasis is put on the brief description of three selected military operations that offers a taste of the diversity of Portuguese Sixteenth-Century warfare.
