Abstract
The traditional perspective on the value of Enterprise Interoperability (EI) - focused on the creation of increased efficiency in supply chains - does not sufficiently reflect the leverage that EI can provide to radical innovation in new dynamic collaborative networks between business partners. This leaves substantial potential value from EI underexploited. This paper presents a framework to better identify and classify sources of value from EI in the context of innovation ecosystems and provides an outline for its use, to support the likelihood that EI will be used successfully to stimulate radical innovation.
