Abstract
This small research aims to clarify some texts that António Sardinha wrote in the early twenties of the twentieth century and which have as their main theme Hispanism and messianism. In this vein, after his stay in Spain, the author developed a doctrine of peninsular union in counterpoint to the Iberianism of the
nineteenth century, and that was exposed in the pages of Nação Portuguesa, and later, gathered in volume. In this contribution Brazil appears as the leader, almost unchallenged, of this Hispanic world.
