Abstract

In this paper we consider a FDMA (frequencydivision multiple access) system employingOQPSKmodulations (offset quaternary phase shift keying)withquasi-constantenvelope. To increase the overallspectralefficiencywe considerspectraloverlapping between differentfrequencychannels. We present an iterativefrequency-domainreceiverwithparallelmultiuserdetection. Our performance results show that our receiver is able to copewiththe strong ACI levels (adjacent channel interference) inherent tospectraloverlapping, as well aswiththe interference between the in-phase (I) and quadrature (Q) components of theOQPSKsignals, evenforseverely time-dispersive channels.
