Abstract
This work presents the palynological study of the lignite sediments from Anadia sun-basin with propose to characterize the regional Pliocene flora. The polinic association seems to indicate a swamp habitat with long hydroperiods surrounded by mixed and diverse swamp forests composed of woody Pinus and Ericaceae. Occur some mega-mesothermic species suggesting a relatively warm and humid climate.
