Espólio de cerâmicas finas romanas e separadores dos fornos do Morraçal da Ajuda (Peniche, Portugal)

Na persecução dos estudos e das análises a que temos vindo a fazer ao espólio cerâmico romano, obtido desde 1998 neste sítio arqueológico tivemos como objetivo principal o estudo do material anfórico para o qual se publicou muito recentemente (2016) uma tabela crono tipológica desta produção. Pretendemos com esta nossa nova comunicação apresentar um estudo sobre a cerâmica fina, sobre as imitações, suas tipologias e produções locais, neste caso baseado na análise das pastas em que foram efetuadas, assim como, tentar apresentar mais uma pista, que se torne em uma outra ajuda com o fim de obter a origem de Lucio Arvenio Rustico, o “fundador” desta olaria romana.

In the sequence of the studies and analysis we have been making to the Roman pottery assets, obtained since 1998 at the archaeological site of Morracal da Ajuda, Peniche, the main goal was the study of amphorae fragments, that was made, recently (2016), and had as result a chronological and typological table of the production. With this paper we intend to present a new study concerning other pottery assets, such as fine wares, imitations of thin walled pottery, typologies and productions, based on chemical analysis of their fabrics, as well as trying to present new clues that might be of great help to understand the origin of Lucius Arvenius Rusticus, the figlina’s “founder”.
