Abstract

The collection of the schoolbooks of the Congregation of the Oratory published in the mid-eighteenth century was constituted from the pedagogical program established by the royal and papal determination of 1745 that licensed the action of those congregated in public education. However, these manuals also have a configuration calculatedly decided by the Congregation. The dialogue model that led to the preparation of most schoolbooks corresponded to a decision consistent with the experimental orientation of the Congregation practices of the knowledge production
