Web-based solutions for increasing visibility of Geography related research

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Although not universally true, most active research should be application-focus, or contribute to an on-going body of knowledge. Creativity builds innovation; this in turn may have a social epidemiologic effect. In Geo-science related research groups, this is particularly true, since the outcome of research potentially represent new layers of spatial information. The purpose of the present article is to demonstrate how in e- GEO, layers of new information are brought together in an open platform which, through interaction with common users, allows greater visibility of in-house production.
