Abstract

This work presents an integrated charger for Electrical Vehicles based on a multilevel dual-output nine-switch converter. The proposed converter is able to supply a six-phase induction motor in propulsion mode and during regenerative braking. When the Electrical Vehicle is in rest condition, the operation mode can be switched to charging mode using the same converter. Using the proposed solution is also possible to connect to single or three-phase AC charging stations. The theoretical operation of the proposed solution and several simulation results demonstrate the achievements of the proposed solution.
