Abstract

Heart failure (HF) is a clinical syndrome characterized primarily by breathlessness, fatigue, and congestion. Since the 20th century, there has been an increasing trend in the incidence of HF. Despite significant advancements in the treatment of HF in recent years, chronic HF remains a life-threatening disease and continues to challenge healthcare professionals. Research on eplerenone is important because it addresses a significant unmet medical need: the effective management of heart failure, a condition that affects millions of people worldwide and carries a high mortality rate.
